News and Announcements

Congratulations on your recent accomplishment,

Jaelon Kennedy Love and Jade Bell!

Murrah HS students Jaelon Kennedy Love and Jade Bell have been accepted into the 2014 class of participants for the Winter Institute - Summer Youth Institute (SYI) program.  The program is hosted on the campus of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and educates approximately 30 young Mississippi citizens each year.  At SYI, rising high school sophomores and juniors learn about civil rights, advocacy, critical thinking and relationship building from an international staff.  They learn to exercise their voices and leadership potential and to embrace a commitment to social change; and they become community advocates, inspiring their schools and hometowns.

Jaelon and Jada, honor roll students, have a history of engagement and are proud MHS and high school APAC theatre students.  Both students actively participate in programs at their respective churches and in their communities.---We are so proud of you!
